Relocation Resources:

  • Continuum of Care Coordinators
Most counties throughout the State of California have a Continuum of Care Coordinator who coordinates the homeless assistance providers that are receiving funding from the United States Department and Housing and Urban Development. For more information about homeless assistance providers in your area, contact the Continuum of Care Coordinator from your county.
  • Federal Housing Choice Vouchers Program
The Housing Choice Vouchers Program is the federal government’s program for assisting very low-income participants with housing. The California Victim Compensation Board can reimburse a crime victim for expenses related to a deposit for voucher housing.
  • California LifeLine Program
Lifeline is a government benefit program that provides discounts on monthly telephone service for eligible low-income consumers to help ensure they can connect to the nation’s communications networks, find jobs, access health care services, connect with family and their children’s schools, and call for help in an emergency.
  • Safe at Home

  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
Social Security pays benefits to people who cannot work because they have a medical condition that is expected to last at least one year or result in death. Federal law requires this very strict definition of disability. While some programs give money to people with partial disability or short-term disability, Social Security does not.
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources. SSI benefits also are payable to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits.

#GivingTuesday

Please help organizations like ours continue and expand our mission. This #GivingTuesday we are asking for donations to help fund People For Peace and Prosperity (PFPP)’s Youth Empowerment Program’s: Virtues Virtual Camp (VVC). We have created an ever evolving, spiritual, virtual program designed to inspire children that focuses on each individual child.  DONATE

“More Than Survived”

This #GivingTuesday help us make a difference one heart rending story at a time. One ray of hope at a time. One shoulder to lean on at a time. In the absence of compassion, accompaniment, and hope; true Justice is unattainable. Abuse and trauma have no gender or age limitations. Our column provides a space to share, and insights from mental health professionals. DONATE
